The Rhino GX from US Specialty Vehicles is a Ford Super Duty on Steroids

There’s no arguing the Ford Super Duty trucks look butch. They’re large, wide, boldly styled, and, thanks to the new Power Stroke diesel, they pack plenty of power.

It’s hard to imagine how one of Ford’s rigs can look even more macho, but it’s not impossible. US Specialty Vehicles was able to do it. Their vision takes the form of the Rhino GX, “a custom built luxury vehicle” that’s “rough and rugged [and] ready to take on any obstacle.” The zombie apocalypse would be much easier to survive in one of these hulking, tank-like giants.

The F-450-based custom comes in five- or seven-passenger configurations that are powered by Ford’s 6.8-liter V10. That means this beast has 362 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. Those figures are routed through a five-speed automatic, four-wheel drive, and 38-inch tires. An air suspension is standard; an optional hydraulic “smart suspension system” offers three different response settings.

Not only does the Rhino GX make a Super Duty look tame, it absolutely dwarfs a Range Rover. Go to US Specialty Vehicles’ Instagram page to see what I mean.
