The Retro Super Duty Is Real, and It’s Spectacular!
Thanks to one astute FTE reader, we were able to track down more deets on the mysterious retro Super Duty. Here’s everything you need to know!
It all started with a simple picture. Here on the vast, endless void known as the Internet, information is available at your fingertips. Hit up Google and it takes mere fractions of a second to answer those burning questions of yours. But the Internet can also be a mysterious place. And sometimes, you come across something requiring more than a simple web search. Something like this sweet retro Super Duty.
You see, it all started when we came across a picture tweeted from a guy named Dan to Ford North America Product Communications Manager Mike Levine. Levine loved the retro Super Duty so much he retweeted the image from his personal account. And that’s when we came across the picture and immediately fell in love with it. So, we shared it with our Facebook fans, and needless to say, they loved it too.

But despite our best detective work, we couldn’t find any additional information on the truck. And we, like you, had a lot of burning questions left to ask. So, we offered up a reward, and in what seemed like mere seconds, a user by the name of Sean came to the rescue. Turns out, this awesome retro Super Duty is, in fact, a dealer build, as we suspected. More specifically, it’s the brainchild of Kory Swan, a sales consultant at Dewey Ford in Ankeny, IA. So, we want to give a big tip of the hat to Kory for doing the near-impossible: making a Ford Super Duty even more badass than it was when it first rolled off the factory floor. If you’re in the market for the ultimate old school/new school Super Duty or any other new Ford, we can’t think of a better guy to get in touch with!
