SYNC 3 is Coming to All 2017 Ford Models

By -

Cars, SUVs, light trucks, and electrified vehicles. Ford offers them all and all of them will be available with SYNC 3 for the 2017 model year.

Not only is the connectivity system running faster on all-new hardware and software, but it’s also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Updates will come over the air via Wi-Fi.

Owners of iPhone 5s and later models will be able to use CarPlay through their 2017 Ford’s touch screen to voice-control Siri, look up a destination on Apple Maps, jam out to Apple Music, place a call through the Phone function, check their Messages, and do other things through a variety of third party apps.

Those who have phones operating on Android 5.0 or higher can use SYNC 3/Android Auto to get their bearings via Google Maps, listen to their tunes, and place calls and send text messages with voice commands.

SYNC AppLink provides access to convenient and helpful apps such as Spotify, Pandora, Ford PASS, AccuWeather, and AAA member services.

For those of you who have tried SYNC 3 already, what do you like about it? How do you think Ford can improve it?
