Stock F-150 Kicks Out a Great Burnout!

F-150 driver proves that persistence pays off, putting together a solid burnout at the end of the video.

This week’s “Tire Smokin’ Tuesday” video comes to us from the YouTube channel of Conrad Murphy and it features a Ford F-150 from the 10th generation. In this 92-second video, this stock-looking half-ton pickup does a series of small burnouts, often struggling to stay on the road, before finally putting together a nice smoke show at the end of the clip.

The Truck

The only detail provided on this Ford F-150 is the fact that it is powered by the 5.4-liter Triton V8. There is no mention of modifications, but based on how his truck struggles to spin the tires, we would guess that it is stock. It seems a little louder than stock, so perhaps there is an aftermarket muffler or no muffler, but this truck performs like a stock 5.4-powered pickup.

Try and Try Again

The video begins with the F-150 off in the distance, where it pulls out of the dirt and onto the paved road at an odd angle. The driver begins to spin the tires, but little smoke is produced and the truck quickly begins to pull away.

Next, the truck is in the same place, but it is facing the camera. The driver begins to spin the rear tires, but before any smoke is created, the truck rolls forward and the rear end whips around into the dirt. The F-150 then does a series of donuts that are partially in the loose dirt and partially on the road, with the dirt being tracked onto the street helping the truck spin the tires while preventing much smoke.

The next try was the worst, with the truck beginning in the dirt and spinning the tires before heading onto the street, where the back end whips around, engine speed falls and the burnout fails.

The third attempt is from a different angle and the truck starts on the paved road. At first, the tires are spinning a bit, but when the truck turns hard towards the cameraman, the driver wisely lifts.

F-150 Good Burnout Finally

Finally, the last attempt in the same stretch of paved roads yields the first good burnout of the video, proving that perseverance pays off. Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
