What Sounds Better Than a Ferrari 488 GTB? A Mustang GT350!

The All-new Shelby GT350 Mustang

As Ford fans, you probably don’t pay that much attention to what Ferrari does. But in the aged history of the Ford Motor Company, there’s been quite a rivalry. A lot of that has to do with the Ford GT40 whooping some Ferrari assĀ at LeMans.

There’s a new Ford GT on the way, if you haven’t heard, but in the meantime Ferrari has replaced their high-strung, naturally-aspirated V8 with a turbocharged unit in the 488 GTB.

Sure, the Ferrari will be fast, and powerful, but it’s lost something in the transition to being turbocharged. It’s lost it’s soul.

However, while Ferrari was preparing to go turbo in their “entry-level” sports car, Ford was doing the opposite. They prepared a 5.2L, flat-plane crank, V8 that revs to over 8,000 and sounds absolutely fantastic. Just listen to it today from the Dallas Auto Show media day thanks to our friend Rob Beaird!

Now, listen to the Ferrari 488 GTB from their promotional video.

Now, after listening to both, which one can you objectively say that you want to drive? That’s right, the Ford.

Expect the GT350 to be at dealerships later this summer, and we’re hoping to get behind the wheel ourselves in the near future.
