A Sneak Peek at FTE’s Raptor Off-Road Adventure

By -

We go off the grid for two full days to find out just how capable, and how enjoyable the 2017 F-150 Raptor really is.

As you know, we have the keys to a 2017 Ford Raptor, and we’re currently putting it through a sort of crazy real-world test. You know, not only driving it for mundane daily tasks, but also spending two full days at a special off-road facility in western Indiana.

The lovely Avalanche-Gray truck we’ve affectionately dubbed the “poor man’s Raptor” has been outstanding so far. Not only has it survived the kind of torture only small children can induce on a vehicle, but also the strain of hot temperatures and murderous terrain. If you want to know why we think this is the “affordable” Raptor, then check out our FB Live broadcast.

After a long day of off-roading with the Ford Raptor

Because not everything is fun and games, we had to put in some serious work with our test truck. That meant taking tons of awesome photos, shooting a few videos, and even riding on a Polaris RZR to capture some sweet rolling shots at high speed. Believe it or not, it’s not that easy to focus a camera when you’re constantly bouncing up and down on a sand dune.

Check out the video and sweet teaser photos, and stay tuned for more of our off-road Raptor adventure!
