Slammed F-150 Does an Insane Burnout: Tire Smokin’ Tuesday
Gigantic wheels don’t stop this F-150 from performing an awesome smoke show with stock power.
This week’s Tire Smokin’ Tuesday video comes to us from the YouTube channel of Steven Cusson and it features a 2016 Ford F-150 doing a righteous burnout. Huge, heavy aftermarket wheels can often diminish the performance of a vehicle, but the extra weight on the axles doesn’t have any impact on this half-ton Ford’s ability to destroy the rear tires.
Big Wheels, Small Ride Height
The details on this 2016 Ford F-150 are short, but we can tell from the sound that it is powered by the 5.0-liter V8 and according to the details, the truck is stock. Well, stock with a Magnaflow muffler, but it should be making stock power.
What is not stock is the stance, as this truck has been slammed and fitted with a set of 24-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile rubber. What is surprising is that this is a four-wheel-drive F-150 with a custom lowering kit that drops the front by about four inches while the rear comes down by about six inches. As a result, the truck isn’t as “slammed” as some rear-drive trucks we have seen on YouTube, but as 4x4s go – this Ford is pretty low.
Fortunately, the dropped suspension should only improve performance while having no impact on burnout abilities. On the other hand, the huge 24-inch wheels can sometimes be a chore for a stock truck to spin well, but these big, wide tires are no match for the F-150.
Big, Big Burnout
The video begins with the F-150 already spinning the rear tires, but we catch the bulk of the tire-slaying action. With the sweet roar of the 5.0-liter V8,this F-Series pickup roasts the tires for a solid minute, creating enough smoke that when the cameraman moves around to the rear of the truck, we can barely see anything but smoke well off into the distance.
Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
