Rust in Peace: ’79 F-150 4×4 Shortbed, FTE Marketplace Find of the Week
Vintage F-150 is a mean, green, rusty machine, and it’s ready to part out or inspire a major renovation project for only $1,000.
“Truck driveline is complete less front hubs,” writes Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum member grinnergetter, who is selling off his rusty but rockin’ 1979 Ford F-150 4×4 shortbed to fellow members looking for a solid option for an intensive renovation project or hard-to-find parts.
Although he says the truck “has not run in many years” and the cab is “pretty much toast,” most of the rest of the truck is “far from junk.” So, if you’re in the market for a Ford truck to complete your build project, here are the rest of the pertinent details:
“Manual trans with 205 TC. Bed is in decent shape but WILL need work. minor repairs around wheel wells and topside of front panel. Also will need some repair around stake holes. Far from junk IMO. Bed floor is on good shape. Frame is solid. Has not run in many years. Cab is pretty much toast and rockers were cut out to repair another members truck. Have title.”
The Indiana-based seller is asking “$1,000 cash…price is firm.”
