Richard Petty and Ford Team Up for Badass Mustang
Everyone is falling in love with the 2015 Mustang, including the folks at Petty’s Garage. The King and company are offering a Stage 1 and Stage 2 upgrade kit for the 2015 Mustang GT that will be super-exclusive and carry a significant increase in power.
AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson is the first one to order one of these amazing cars.
Both versions of the car are based on the SEMA car shown by Petty’s Garage. The Stage 1 kit includes some visual tweaks, along with some major power upgrades. A Roush/Ford Racing supercharger, Magnaflow exhaust, and other tuning pushing the output to 627 horsepower.
Only 100 of the Stage 1 Mustang GTs will be sold, with an asking price of $62,210.
The Stage 2 kit is even rarer, with only 43 being made in total. In addition to the aero kit and power upgrades, Wilwood big brakes are added, a custom two-tone paint job covers the car, and special wheels from HRE adorn the car. The paint scheme is identical to the SEMA car, and features the number 43 ghosted into the hood and the C-pillar.
Only 42 remain, since Brian Johnson purchased the first one, and will set you back $92,210. But can you put a price on being The King?
These cars can be ordered at any Ford dealership, and carry a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty from Ford and Roush on the performance bits, while Petty’s Garage warrants the rest.
In case you were wondering about Brian Johnson’s driving skill, in the Chevrolet Lacetti he was the second fastest around the Top Gear test track with a 1:45.9 lap.
