170 of brand-new, model year 2016 Ford F-650 and F-750 work trucks are being recalled. If you own one that was built at the Ohio Assembly Plant between June 18 and November 15, 2015, you will want to call your Ford Dealer to schedule a fix.

The issue deals with the air brake jounce hoses. What happens is that the hoses could contact the truck’s rear axle housing while driving and could cause a leak. If this happens, the brakes will default to parked or you may see diminished parking performance which can increase the chance of getting into a crash.

The fix requires Ford dealers to install a new rear brake air chamber and inspect the parking brake air lines for damage. Those lines will be replaces as needed and all will be done to no charge to the owner.

Be sure to contact your local Ford dealer or contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 or enter your information at the Ford website here.
