Watch the F-150 Raptor Pace NASCAR’s Ford EcoBoost 400!
Ford’s all-new 2017 Raptor is easily one of the most heavily anticipated trucks of recent years, and NASCAR’s final race of the 2016 Sprint Cup Series – the Ford EcoBoost 400 – is the most anticipated race of the season. That makes the two a perfect pair, and NASCAR has rightfully acknowledged that fact by naming the Raptor the race’s official pace vehicle.
The EcoBoost 400 marks not only the end of the 2016 season, but it’s also the crown jewel of Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Several champions will be crowned, including not only the Sprint Cup Series champ, but also the Camping World Trucks Series and XFINITY Series champs.
That makes for one heck of a weekend of racing, one in which the Raptor is fittingly leading the way. And it’s the perfect choice for a pace vehicle (save for maybe the new Ford GT) with its twin turbo, 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 pumping out 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. If you’re a fan of Ford and NASCAR, it just doesn’t get any better than this.
