A Raptor is Born: Bloomberg’s Matt Miller Watches his Truck Come to Life

2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Watching a vehicle being made on the assembly line is one of those experiences that everyone should get to see. The choreography and timing of each piece as a car or truck is made is astounding to watch. Matt Miller of Bloomberg gets the dream opportunity of every Raptor lover; watching their very own truck built from the ground up.

I was one of the last few who got to watch the Ford F-150 being made on the assembly line at Norfolk, Virginia. To watch videos of how the F-150 is made currently shows me how far assembly lines have come in just 7 years. This was even before the Raptor was even conceptualized.

It now takes 1,000 UAW workers 20 hours to create the F-150, and those numbers do include the SVT Raptor. At a 6 day work week, the Dearborne Truck Plant cranks out 7,000 units. So, let’s watch as Matt’s truck is built before his very eyes and delivered by a special guest.
