QUESTION OF THE WEEK Which Engine in the 700 Horsepower Shelby F-150?
The folks at Shelby American have announced that they will introduce their newest performance package for the Ford F-150 pickup at SEMA, and while details are limited, we know that it will have 700 horsepower. Unfortunately, the image didn’t explain which engine the company used to build this monster half ton pickup.
On one hand, we know that Shelby American has extensive experience building high performance Ford V8 engines, so the 5.0L V8 from the Mustang seems like the most likely mill for the Shelby F-150. On the other hand, Ford has shown that the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 can be worked to make some monster horsepower and with the new Raptor coming for 2017 with EcoBoost power, perhaps Shelby went with the smaller twin turbo engine for their new F-150 supertruck.
For our Question of the Week, we want to know which engine you would rather see in the Shelby F-150 and which engine you think that the company will use? Click here to head into the forum to share your thoughts on the question!
