That’s why this one-owner, mostly original 1972 Ford F-100 caught our eye. It’s currently being auctioned off by Hemmings. If the bidding history is any indication, it seems to have caught plenty of attention.
The truck is currently located in Fresno, California, where it has spent its entire life. The original Tidewater Aqua paint is still in great shape, as is the interior. It’s incredible that both have survived the relentless UV onslaught of the California sunshine. “Built Ford Tough” indeed.
He bought his first car at age 14 -- a 1978 Ford Mustang II -- and since then he’s amassed an impressive and diverse collection of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, including a 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Mystic Cobra (#683) and a classic air-cooled Porsche 911.
In addition to writing about cars and wrenching on them in his spare time, he enjoys playing music (drums and ukulele), building model cars, and tending to his chickens.
