We’ve been waiting, for what seems like forever, to hear the official numbers of the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel in the 2017 Ford Super Duty. Well folks, you have to wait no longer because the official numbers are in. If you spec your 2017 Super Duty with the diesel, you’ll get a truck rated at 440 horsepower and 925 lb-ft of torque!

Compared to the 2016 Super Duty, the horsepower remains the same at 440 hp. Obviously, the jump is in the torque from 860 lb-ft to 925 lb-ft. That’s an additional 65 lb-ft of torque to help you when you’re towing heavy loads.

The 6.7L Power Stroke is available on all Super Duty versions, from the F-250 all the way up to the F-450 equipped with dual rear wheels. Combined with the lighter weight of the 2017 Super Duty, thanks to extensive use of lightweight aluminum alloy and other materials, we expect the new Super Duty to tow and haul more than ever before.

Fuel economy numbers haven’t been formally announced, but we’d expect to see numbers a little bit better than what you’re getting new. The lighter weight will definitely help in that department.

What do you think about the new Super Duty horsepower and torque numbers? Let us know in the comments below or head on over to our forums to let your voice be heard!
