The “Official Luxury Vehicle” of the Dallas Cowboys Should Have a Pickup Truck

By -

Ford is huge in Texas. The people of Texas buy more trucks than anywhere else in the country, and all the major truck manufacturers spend a boat load of money there to convince people to buy their truck over the competition. But trucks aren’t the only thing Texans care about, and Lincoln is getting in on the Texas promotion by becoming the Official Luxury Vehicle of the Dallas Cowboys.

If you want the details, you can view the full press release on Lincoln’s site, but I have a small beef with this new corporate sponsorship. With a team that is as Texas as the Cowboys, an official luxury brand of all things brisket and cheerleaders should have a truck in their lineup. A 400-hp Lincoln MKZ with torque-vectoring all-wheel drive isn’t what a Texan wants. They want a big pickup truck. They want a Ford F-150 Limited.

The Lincoln Motor Company and Dallas Cowboys

People are shunning cars and going for crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks. Ford has proven that the sky is literally the limit when it comes to the price of a pickup truck. Now seems like as good of time as any to bring back the Lincoln MK LT as a super-high-luxury version of the F-150.

They’d sell every single one of them.
