Off-Roading Made Easier with Raptor’s Terrain Mode

In the event of a zombie apocalypse, society will most likely break down. So will road maintenance. In periling times like those, I hope to have access to a 2017 Ford Raptor. Thanks to the multi-terrain management modes, I’ll have everything I need to survive. In a new video from Ford, they show off some of those modes.

There are 6 different modes for the new Raptor, and they include Normal, Sport, Weather, Mud/Sand, Baja, and Rock Crawl. While most seem to be pretty self-explanatory, the Baja mode is pretty sweet. The traction control is cut back and the truck is allowed to drift as you blast across the desert.

Interestingly, there isn’t a Mall Crawl mode because we all know that one person who owns a Raptor and has absolutely no idea what their truck is capable of.

For those of you out there who want no electronic nannies, such as stability control, on at all, Ford Performance still lets you turn the systems off if you so desire.

We’re anxious to get our grubby paws on the new Raptor, and we are sure you are too! Stay with us as we share more and more information on the Raptor that should be on sale later this year!

In the meantime, head on over to our forums to let us know what you think about the latest video.
