New or Old Ford Raptor, which is King of the Trails?

By -

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is faster, better-looking, and much more advanced, but can it beat the old off-road warrior?

It wasn’t long after the 2017 Ford Raptor hit showrooms that we began seeing drag-racing videos pitting the old 6.2-liter V8 against the new 3.5-liter high-output EcoBoost V6. While entertaining, the Baja racer was never designed to carry on the Lightning’s drag-racing heritage.

What’s the Raptor designed to do? Tackle trails, rocket down dirt roads, and slay sand dunes, of course. That’s why rather than showing you another silly drag racing video, we’ve brought you one of The Fast Lane Truck‘s newest clips.

Ford Raptor

This 14-minute video shows the TFLT crew going on an off-road adventure in a first-generation pickup, as well as the newest 2017 model. In addition, this is the first Ruby Red Ford Raptor we’ve seen in action and it we think it looks stunning!

Will the might of the 6.2-liter V8 emerge victorious at their “Cliffhanger 2.0?,” or will the advanced suspension, clever technology, and overall incredible adaptability of the EcoBoost V6 conquer the trails?

Watch and find out!
