O.J. Simpson’s White Ford Bronco Steals the Limelight Once Again
World-famous white Ford Bronco previously owned by O.J. Simpson visits one of the most popular reality tv shows.
Depending on how old you are, you’re likely to remember June 17, 1994. That’s the day when over 95 million people tuned in to watch O.J. Simpson flee the police in a white Ford Bronco SUV. In fact, that was a big day not just for the football star, but also for Ford and for cable news.
The insane police chase put the Ford Bronco on the radar for many folks, and the televised high-speed chase was born. Fast forward to 2017, and the Bronco has surfaced again after many years of absence. A few months ago the SUV was on display at the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. That’s the first recorded time that the iconic vehicle was allowed to be exposed to the public.
Since 1994, the white Bronco has been under the care and ownership of Simpson’s previous sports manager, Mike Gilbert. Now that it’s left the safety of its garage, the Ford SUV is headed to the reality tv show ‘Pawn Stars’ to find out if the controversial family is willing to have a go at it.
It’s unclear how much the 22-year-old Bronco is worth now, but rumors claim that Gilbert has been offered upwards of $750,000. Of course, the answer has always been: no. As for what the future holds for the iconic Ford SUV, no one knows. Until further headlines are made, enjoy this in-depth look at the infamous machine courtesy of Inside Edition.
