Whether you drive a tricked-out Ford Super Duty, F-150, or even a Ranger, your suspension and engine mods will only carry you so far through the hostile elements. The rest is up to your tires.

Check out this video from the guys at the, Driving Line YouTube channel, which takes you to the harsh environment that is the Mexican 1000 endurance off-road race. Known as one of the most challenging fully-supported rally races in the world, it combines high speed runs through deserts, technical single-tracks on truck-devouring silt beds, and even some rock-crawling, too.

On this video you can see a few of the racing trophy trucks have fallen victims to the infamous Mexican silt beds, and they need serious help to get out. Who comes to rescue? Not a massive rig, but a Ford Raptor sporting Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

Watch the video to see what happens next. And remember, you can have the biggest and the baddest truck, but it’s your tires that will carry the extra mile to the finish line.
