Truckin’ Fast Wednesday Presented by Nitto Tire
New-generation Ford Raptor stadium race truck might just be the coolest (and fastest) new F-150 we’ve ever featured.
This week’s “Truckin Fast Wednesday” video features a new Ford F-150 Raptor stadium race truck in what appears to be the high-performance class in a Tough Truck race. Many Tough Truck races (or Rough Truck in some places) pit battered pickups and SUVs against each other on a dirt course.
Other times, the program of events features purpose-built race trucks flying around the same track, like this video courtesy of granturismomh shows. Unfortunately, there aren’t details on this truck, but we can see that it is clearly modeled after the newest generation Ford F-150 Raptor – at least in terms of exterior design. Beyond that, there are likely very few components from a production Raptor or any production Ford truck, with a roaring V8, a rear-mounted cooling system, a monster off-road racing suspension setup and huge tires. These components work together to allow this new F-150 Raptor race truck to soar over the jumps with ease, along with making short work of the sprints between the jumps and turns.
Beyond that, there are likely very few components from a production Raptor, or any production Ford truck found in this yellow speed machine. With a roaring V8, a rear-mounted cooling system, a monster off-road racing suspension and enormous knobby tires, this badass can soar over jumps with ease and make short work of the diminutive straight.
Unfortunately, the person capturing this footage didn’t have the best seats, so when the truck gets close to the camera it loses sight of the vehicle. Other than that, we’re able to get a pretty good look at this new Raptor racer in action.
