New Owner of ’59 F-350 Uses FTE Forums to Rejuvenate His Ride
Incredibly cool F-350 project came about thanks to our forums. And now we get to watch it all come together in the same place.
As great a resource as the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forums are, there’s one thing that makes it all tick – you. Our members are a tight knit community that aren’t just boastful internet blowhards – they truly care about both Ford trucks and their fellow enthusiasts. We see this every day in the generosity members show toward each other. Whether that means hooking each other up with a difficult to find part or just doling out much needed advice. All of which has helped Yeahrightgreer select and build his next project – a super sweet 1959 Ford F-350!
“Thought I’d introduce myself to the forum. I bought this truck a few months ago, literally the night before I deployed. I saw her and knew I had to have it. Ended up driving 16 hours straight through the night and rain. I’ve been lurking on the forums just trying to soak up information and learn from all you guys.
I’m mostly a Mopar man myself, but I have a thing for ’56-’62 Fords. Don’t have too big of plans for her yet. Maybe change the gearing out and cruise, restore the bed and make a stake truck, or even hunt down a 9’ Express bed.”
But perhaps the best thing about the project is the fact that the OP isn’t trying to turn this vintage Ford F-350 into some kind of overly modern hauler!
“I’d like to stick with a period correct look. No hot rodding or crazy paint jobs. I hope to fix her up and bring her to a point where I can reliably drive so I can haul around my other projects. I’ll have to research changing out the drums for discs in front. Add a brake controller. Dual master cylinder. Not much more then that though. I firmly believe in keeping these old girls on the road.”
At this point, multiple members have already chimed in with advice to help make this dream a reality. It’s just another example of the incredible resource that lies here in the forums. Be sure and follow along as this Ford F-350 project comes together by heading over here. And if you’ve got a project of your own you need help with or just want to show off, head over here and show us what you’ve got!
