New 2017 Ford Super Duty Tested with Aftermarket Equipment
During the reveal of the 2017 Ford Super Duty at the State Fair of Texas, we learned a great deal about the new truck. While some details are still unknown, one thing that piqued our interest was how Ford tested the new Super Duty with different types of aftermarket equipment. Ford knows that people are going to use the truck in a variety of ways, and it makes sense to test it with some of the common aftermarket equipment to make sure it holds up.
In a video just released by our friends at Ford, we see the new Super Duty, in various configurations, being tested with different aftermarket accessories. These include a salt spreader, utility box, and more. Testing was performed in this video at the proving grounds in Michigan.
If you’ve been living under a rock and aren’t aware of the new Super Duty, the 2017 Super Duty follows in the footsteps of the F-150 by coming in an all-aluminum body. Other changes include the addition of more technology to make the job site safer and more efficient, and also technology to make the truck easier to live with day-to-day.
The new Super Duty will go on sale sometime later next year, and we look forward to getting a chance to drive it. What do you think of Ford’s new Super Duty and the testing procedures? Let us know over in the forums!
