How Much Will the 2017 Ford Raptor Cost?

There are a lot of us, this author included, who is really looking forward to the return of the F-150 Raptor for the 2017 model year. It seems that even though we know a lot about the new truck, we also know just as less about the desert stormer. One of things surely on the minds of potential buyers is; how much will the truck cost?

The previous generation truck’s base price fell in under the current Platinum trim level at the time. The current King Ranch starting price is $49,120. The current Platinum’s starting price is $51,585. A newly-announced Limited trim level is expected to run nearly $60,000 for the base price.

An unofficial survey of writers here at the virtual office suggest a $48,000 starting price. That would fall into line with the pricing structure of the previous truck. However, I’m not so sure it’ll start under $50,000.

A loaded previous generation truck was in the $55,000 range. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the new Raptor start at $55,000. I believe the truck will have more standard equipment than before (including the LED headlights and 10-speed transmission), and the tuned 3.5L EcoBoost will command a bit of a premium over the regular 3.5L.

My guess is a MSRP of $55,000. With options, I can see it topping out north of $60,000, but that’ll depend on what options Ford makes available for the new truck, and if they have any other trucks up their sleeves.

What say you? How much will the new Raptor cost? Let us know in the forums!
