When Mods Go Wrong: F-150 Given Bad Case of Identity Crisis

Ford F-150 w Denali

Hey, that’a a cool truck and–wait, what is that on the tailgate?

If there’s one thing that the Ford F-150 is known for, it is being an iconic brand. The F-series of trucks consistently brakes sales expectations, and enjoys strong brand recognition. Which leads us to this F-150 with less Ford and more GMC. And more importantly, why??

Reddit user Lukky Strike 1 spotted this F-150 on the road. Thankfully he was able to snap a picture, and posted it online. So we see a nice F-150 XLT with the addition of an inexplicable GMC Denali tailgate emblem.

Why?

Aside from the obvious problem being that the truck is NOT a Denali, we have to scratch our head on this. It’s an F-150, why would you get your GMC all over it??

This sentiment was shared on Reddit, with comments ranging from, “Okay, now for me, this one is truly awful,” to “YIKES,” and “Y tho?” We are confounded.

Chevy and Ford trying to come together on an F-150. What next, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria? We call sacrilege!
