Raptor, Ram & Tacoma Prove Which is Best in Rock Crawling, Mudding & Off-Roading

If you follow Ford Truck Enthusiasts then you’re up to date on all things 2017 Ford Raptor. The most capable, fastest and smartest off-road truck the Blue Oval has ever produced has won awards left and right, and wowed consumers and the press alike.

But. And yes, there is a but, the Raptor is not alone in the high-performance off-road truck segment. In fact, there are some pretty outstanding trucks out there that want to eat the Raptor’s lunch when it least expects it. From Ram there is the mighty capable Ram Power Wagon. From Toyota there is the midsize and extremely agile Tacoma TRD Pro. Lastly, from Chevy there is the… oh wait. That’s right, Chevy doesn’t make cool trucks. Oops!

As they always do, the folks at The Fast Lane Truck have produced an incredible video of their excursion to the brutal Moab in Utah, where they put these three trucks through a serious test. The three main categories tested were: rock crawling, mudding, and high-speed off-road driving.

To make things more interesting, each one of the trucks excels at each one of these categories. The Raptor has the high-speed off-road driving challenge covered, while the Tacoma’s size favors it in trickier rock-crawling sections. Lastly, the Power Wagon seems to crush everything that gets in its path.

Which one would you choose?
