Meet Avalanche Grey, Raptor’s New Color

It’s not uncommon for Ford’s F-150 SVT Raptor to have a unique color exclusive to the truck. We’ve seen Terrain starting with the 2013 Raptor, for example. But when we saw the prototype Liquid Blue Raptor last year at NAIAS, we knew that color wouldn’t stick around.

But there will be a special color for the Raptor, to signify that it is a Ford Performance vehicle, and that’s the color you see on the SuperCrew Raptor; Avalanche Grey.

Based on these photos from Ford, the grey looks like it’s an environmental color with not a lot of gloss. The beauty of Terrain on the previous Raptor was even if it was caked in dust and dirt, it didn’t look that dirty. It looks like Avalanche Grey might continue that trend.

Since it’s a special edition color, expect it to be on most of the press materials and photos of the truck prior to the launch later this year. We’ll have more close-up and real-life photos of the truck later this morning when we check it out at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
