Lime Gold 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR is the Treasure at the End of the Rainbow

Have you ever won an award? Been the recipient of a first-place trophy or a medal? How about a blue ribbon? No? Well now’s your chance to give a big middle finger to everybody who’s looked down on your inability to win anything by purchasing a 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR that won Gold at the 2015 Shelby Nationals Concours. That should shut ’em up.

This beaut will cost you $175,000, but it’d be worth it for the lime gold paint alone. It is almost St. Patrick’s week, you know … This fully documented KR is an extremely well preserved example of a rare bird. It has a 428-cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8 and a Ford C6 3-speed automatic transmission. The car went through a rotisserie restoration about a year ago Shelby specialist Tim Lea.

Only 1,053 KR fastbacks were for the 1968 model year. Don’t let this one pass.
