5 Things to Love and Hate About the Current F-150
Fans of Ford Trucks will defend their beloved pickups until the end. Whether it be online or face-to-face, our Ford trucks are a thing of passion and pride.
Ford fans relentlessly fight internet trolls, argue with our Chevy-loving “friends,” and maybe even ignore the little things about our trucks that piss us off. It’s all just part of the never-ending truck wars that demand 100 percent brand loyalty and commitment.
Mike over at AutoVlog isn’t exactly what you would call a fanboy, however. He prefers to operate more as an automotive journalist who points out the good and the bad in regards to his tuxedo black 2015 F-150. A truck which he has featured in a series of love and hate videos on his YouTube channel.
The things that Mike loves about his truck are pretty familiar to a lot of us – the abundance of metallic in the paint, the Coyote V8 and its glorious exhaust note. The convenience, technology options, and how the tailgate isn’t insanely heavy like it used to be rank pretty high on the list, too. Well, the tailgate thing is a bit of stretch anyway.
Mike is a realist, however, and he isn’t afraid to let everyone know the things about his F-150 that annoy him as well. He doesn’t like how difficult it is to access the rear of his Super Cab in a tight parking spot (time for a Super Crew, perhaps). Nor is he a fan of how badly finger prints show on the touch screen, and how My Ford Touch tends to lag sometimes.
All legitimate concerns, of course, but nothing major. No truck is perfect, and we all know that Ford makes one that is about as close to perfection as possible. Kudos to Mike for giving his honest opinion, which is an invitation for nasty backlash on the interwebs these days.
