Very special Jet Black ride is set to land in Malaysia later this year.

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), Ford’s distribution partner in Malaysia, recently unveiled a special-edition Ford Ranger WildTrak that features a bespoke Jet Black paint job. The limited-edition variant of the pickup truck was previously available in Cool White and Pride Orange, but the latest edition sees the vehicle finished in a rugged shade of black.

The Ranger’s body isn’t the only part of the vehicle that wears the Jet Black paint scheme. The pickup’s rear deck lid, grille and front bumper are finished in the shade, as well, making this one sinister and sexy-looking ride. To help the black pop, there are two gray stripes running down the entire length of the truck. It’s a nice touch that helps give the truck a touch of color, as well as added mystery.

The Ranger WildTrak retains the same 3.2-liter five-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that churns out 197 horsepower and 347 lb-ft. of torque. The Jet Black version of the pickup will cost a little more than its brightly-colored brethren when it goes on sale in Malaysia later this year.

It’s special editions like this Jet Black WildTrak that have us sitting on the edge of our seats for Ford’s upcoming small pickup truck that will be sold in the U.S.
