2004 Ford F-450

Formerly a part of Georgia Department of Transportation’s fleet, 2004 F-450 comes with a ‘bullet proofed’ Powerstroke diesel.

“The truck is used but looks like a 8-9 on a scale of 10,” says Ford Truck Enthusiasts member MR6X6 of his 2004 F-450 Super Duty XLT 4×4 currently up for sale in our marketplace. And it’s got quite the history.

Before the seller got a hold of the F-450, it was a part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Highway Emergency Response Operators fleet, decked out in red safety striping and the State Farm logo while performing highway safety work in the Atlanta metro area. Here’s what this truck has going for it:

Equipt. With a 42k mile bullet proofed 6 liter diesel engine by Powerstroke specialties in Buford, GA. ARP studs, H.D. EGR cooler, BiggDogg “O ” ring heads, filtered coolant bypass kit, serviced by Ford w/ full synthetic motor oil and Ford filters through out.

The Georgia-based seller is asking $23,000 for the F-450, which is a pretty good price for a former highway safety work truck.

Currently, the highly-regarded automotive journalist is a frequent contributor to the high-traffic Internet Brands Auto Group websites Rennlist, Club Lexus, LS1Tech and Mustang Forums, among others.
