Let a Ranchero Truck Bed Keep You Company on Your Daily Drive
The only thing that might get people more excited than the return of a new Bronco is the return of a new Chevrolet El Camino. But there’s absolutely no reason to waste your time hoping and dreaming when there are perfectly good utes out there waiting for the taking. Like this 1972 Ford Ranchero 500, for example.
The best part? It only has 27,472 miles! It comes with the original 250-cubic-inch engine inline-six and the original three-speed manual transmission. The paint isn’t original, as it was resprayed about two years ago, and that sweet Gran Torino stripe and hood were added. The column shifter was also moved to a floor Hurst shifter.
It’s currently sitting at $13,500 in Pennsylvania. Make an offer!
1972 Ford Ranchero 500, original factory 250 cu. in. engine w/original factory 3-speed manual transmission, 27,472 miles, white exterior body color with matching white vinyl interior. Options include power steering, manual brakes, AM/FM cassette radio (non-factory). This car has been garaged all its life and is in exceptional condition. The car spent all of its life in Florida until the last 2 years. The exterior is excellent – the paint shines beautifully and accents a clean, straight body that I was told had zero rust before its repaint. The car was professionally repainted a few years ago and a factory original Gran Torino GT hood and a custom made Gran Torino Sport laser stripe kit was added. The bed area was sprayed with splatter paint and looks great. The bed itself is straight and clean without dents and damage from use. The interior is absolutely gorgeous with no signs of wear. Seat upholstery, dash, headliner and carpets are all beautiful. The engine compartment looks great as you can see in the pictures. Engine starts up quiet, shifts and drives great. The 3-speed shift was moved from a column shift to a floor shift with a Hurst shifter now in place. I have driven this car all over and it is an exceptionally nice and smooth ride with no issues. Chrome and stainless are in nice condition (stainless around bed area has slight scratches and scuffs from use). Tires and Magnum 500 wheels are nice. The underside of the car is super solid and clean with excellent floors and frame – just as you would expect from a Florida car. Absolutely no disappointments!
