Latest Retro Super Duty Build Is Full of Want

Retro Super Duty

Just when you think it can’t get any better, this latest retro Super Duty sports the perfect color combo.

It might have taken a while to get going, but the idea of a dealer-supplied, retro Super Duty package has clearly won over the masses. The idea of adding some old school flair to these brand-new trucks started with an idea from Kory Swan at Dewey Ford in Ankeny, Iowa, and it didn’t take long to sell their first experimental creation. Swan quickly got to work building another retro Super Duty, and was kind enough to send over pictures of it to us before anyone else could lay eyes upon it!

This latest build features all the same goodies as the first truck, but with a gorgeous gray and black two-tone paint job. The slotted mags look great as always, especially when they’re wrapped in white-lettered BF Goodrich T/A rubber. Which, as we found out, are pretty difficult to find these days. They might take a little extra time to clean, but there’s just something about white letter tires that takes us back.

Throw on a front roll bar and some nerf bars, and you’ve got a simple but effective transformation. It’s truly amazing how little it takes to turn a modern-day truck into something with classic looks, but it just works. So far, Swan’s builds have generated a ton of attention, so we expect them to keep rolling out. And we can’t wait to see how the look evolves!

If you’re digging the look, Dewey Ford also plans to build these trucks specifically to suit individual customer taste. So if you have a particular color combo in mind, or just want a new retro Super Duty to match your dentside, they’ll do it. And a matching set of old and new Ford trucks sounds like the perfect pair to us!
