Jay Leno’s 1989 Ford Shogun is a Beautiful Pocket Rocket

Jay Leno has some outstanding and drop-dead gorgeous Ford vehicles in his collection, including the newest (and a vintage) Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R, a Ford GT, and many more. This time though, it’s his his littlest Ford that caught our attention…

The 1989 Ford Shogun, which originally started as a vehicle that to this date; many people still make fun of for being little and slow—the Ford Festiva.

As you can imagine, there’s nothing slow about Jay’s Shogun, specially as he’s added an extra 90 horsepower via Nitrous bottle to the already hefty 280 horsepower it featured from factory, that’s a total of 370 horsepower on a 2,200 pound pocket rocket!

Ford only transplanted seven Taurus SHO engines for a total of seven Shoguns that were originally sold, and only one of them going to Jay Leno, therefore making the Shogun and very coveted collectible.
