ICON Does It Again With Their New Bronco Build

Architectural glass and Ranger trim make this Bronco something special.

If you’re anything like us, you love looking at the custom Ford Broncos that are being released lately. Many of these companies are going back to the first generation Bronco and turning them into stylish, powerful beasts. ICON is a company that tops the list of quality custom Ford Broncos. In a recent video, the company shows off their latest creation, and it’s definitely something special.

Created for comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan, this 1971 Ford Bronco is one of the nicest custom builds you’ll ever see. As ICON owner Jonathan Ward affirms as he test drives the truck, the team didn’t hold back at all with the bells and whistles for this build. Ward even goes so far as to say that if he could afford one of his trucks, this Bronco is exactly what he’d want.

The bronco has a beautiful matte silver paint job that is complemented by amazing architectural glass windows. Together, the paint and the glass look exactly the same color, giving the Bronco a monochromatic, very high end design. The other notable exterior design element is the black Ranger trim running down the side. As Ward says in the video, the process for adding this Ranger trim isn’t simple at all, and normally takes upwards of a day and a half to complete.

Under the hood is a 5.0-liter Coyote engine, which took quite a bit of effort to fit in the Bronco, with a 5-speed manual transmission. Ward goes on to give a laundry list of the highest of high end components throughout the vehicle. Needless to say, Joe Rogan is not only getting a beautiful Bronco, but he’s also getting one that is very powerful.

Now, it wouldn’t be a hugely expensive custom build if it didn’t have remarkable luxury on the interior. The team at ICON do a great job of preserving the look and feel of the classic SUV, but making it as luxurious as possible. Notably, there are beautifully designed bison hide seats. There’s also a top of the line entertainment system, because even though you have a powerful 4×4 truck doesn’t mean you want to skimp on the sound system.

This is a great video to watch to see just how much craftsmanship goes into an ICON build. Does it completely justify the roughly $200,000 price tag that many of these ICON Broncos go for? That’s for people like Joe Rogan to decide. For the rest of us mere mortals, we can only dream.
