HOLY HELLFIRE Ford GT LM GTE Sounds Insane
Ford is returning to Le Mans next year, and participating in sports car racing around the world. They’re doing it with a race-spec version of the Ford GT supercar. But in order to be successful on the racetrack, they have to do some testing. Here, we have a video of the Ford GT LM GTE doing just that, and it sounds absolutely bonkers.
Ford brought the car out to the Sebring International Raceway for some testing, and an intrepid individual was able to record video of the event. Take a watch, and listen, for yourself this EcoBoost monster doing laps.
While it definitely isn’t a V8, the exhaust and engine note coming from the EcoBoost turbo V6 sounds absolutely brutal. It’s really unlike anything that I’ve heard before coming from a race car.
Additionally, the sounds of the dual-clutch automated manual transmission banging in a gear are noticeable. You can almost know what this car is doing and where it’s at based entirely off of the sounds that it makes at any given moment.
We’re looking forward to the Ford GT racing season to begin at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January. How will it do? We’re not sure, but so far, we like what we see!
