The Most Hilarious (and Bizarre) Custom Ford Tailgates

By -

Love them or hate them, the way someone customizes their Ford truck is no one else’s business but their own. ‘Nuff said.

Self-expression is a beautiful thing. Whether we share our individuality with others through body art or the tailgate of our Ford truck, everyone’s entitled to their own idea of “cool.”

As you’ll see in the photos below, we’ve searched the confines of the internet in the hunt for the ten coolest (or most bizarre) custom-painted Ford truck tailgates. What we discovered is that many people’s idea of “cool” or “art” is everything but. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the “Raptor eye” over the Blue Oval in the photo above, although not really a custom tailgate, is still pretty neat.

As you’d expect, we had a hard time narrowing all the awesome (cough!) designs to just our top 10, but we somehow pulled through.

God bless Texas.

An F-150 self-portrait, the Virgen de Guadalupe, a church and some voluptuous mountains.

Uh, at least they tried.

Denver, Deinver, or Demver? What does it say?!

The Virgen de Guadalupe makes another appearance on a tailgate, this time accompanied by a Miami Beach (maybe?) shoreline and a red F-150.

Call us crazy, but this is borderline vandalism.

I bet this guy will never have to deal with tailgaters.

Yes, we know this one’s not a Ford. That being said, it takes a special kind of guy to have a Jesus and Satan on the tailgate of their Tundra, so we’ll give him a shout out anyway.

Which one is your favorite?
