HENNESSEY VENOM 800 F-150

Hennessey Performance Engineering has leveled the playing field for Ford F-150 and Ram TRX with the VENOM 800

Youtube channel The Fast Lane Trucks recently bracket raced the outgoing Ford Raptor against its rivals from Chevrolet and Ram. Our lauded pickup from the Blue Oval brand managed to obliterate almost every opponent until the trio at TFL trucks decided to race the Raptor against the Ram TRX.

Odds were stacked against the Ford Raptor which was powered by a High Output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 whereas the TRX was packing a Hellcat-sourced 6.2-liter supercharged motor that puts out 702 HP. The drivetrain of the RAM TRX also features a 2.3-liter supercharger which pretty much makes it a Goliath as compared to the turbocharged EcoBoost motor that powers the Raptor.

Well, Texas-based tuning house Hennessey Performance Engineering has now decided to level the playing field between the two rivals. Hennessey has revealed the VENOM 800 F-150 which is a supercharged version of the F-series pickup that can accelerate to 60 MPH from a standstill in just 3.6 seconds.

This is the first time that Hennessey has re-tuned the 2021 F-150, and the company selected the Platinum Super Crew trim of the pickup truck for its high-performance project. Hennessey replaced the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost motor with the much larger 5.0-liter V8 and mated a 3.0L supercharger system to the new powerplant.

The air compressor produces 8 psi of boost that can bump the power output up to 805 horsepower and 727 lb-ft of peak torque when running on E85 Fuel. The truck comes equipped with a four-wheel-drive system that allows VENOM 800 to use its monstrous power on any terrain.

Hennessey claims that its new super truck can run a quarter-mile in just 11.9 seconds, and VENOM 800 employs a 6-piston caliper BREMBO braking system to rein in all that power. HPE also offers a suspension package on the VENOM 800 that lifts the truck by 6-inches. VENOM 800 rides on 20-inch HENNESSEY alloys that are wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires.

The front-end of the VENOM 800 is dominated by a new blacked-out grille that sports Hennessey badging and a large HENNESSEY VENOM front bumper that features integrated LED auxiliary lights. Hennessey Performance has confirmed that it will only produce 100 examples of the VENOM 800 F-150, and the prices of the super truck will start at $149,500.
