Help Denver Police Catch a Ford Pickup-Stealing A-Hole

By -

A recording from inside the vehicle gives a clear view of the man’s face, and reveals just how badly he wants the truck.

Why on Earth someone would go through the hassle of stealing a car is beyond me. Stealing a car is one of the stupider things someone can do, because you will likely be caught and you will go to jail. It’s just a matter of how long you’ll be able to evade the police, and my bet is that it won’t be long. And here’s some free advice, you won’t last long if you drive like this fool.

As The Denver Post reports, the Denver police department have released a video of a man stealing a Ford pickup truck from a fenced-in lot last month. The 12-second video, which is from a camera – yeah there are cameras inside vehicles nowadays – inside the truck’s cab that gives a clear view of the driver’s face.

Denver Thief Fence

The thief, and this is an interesting little tidbit, looks right and left, in an almost habitual way for looking out for oncoming traffic, before ramming through the fence. And to set the right mood to steal the car, the thief is listening to Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You playing at a pretty loud volume. One would expect a thief to try to be as quiet as possible. But hey, bursting through a fence isn’t exactly quiet either.

According to reports, that the truck was stolen on April 22 at approximately 10 PM. If anyone has any information on the thief, contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
