A Gas Monkey 1972 Ford F-100 up for Grabs!

By -

Fans of the hit show “Fast N’ Loud” will undoubtedly recognize this 1972 F-100. It was built by the guys at Gas Monkey using their famous formula for creating old shop trucks – keeping the original paint and patina, but adding some modern suspension bits and a fresh drivetrain for reliability.

A 4″ drop and new shocks get the truck sitting good over a set of Torq Thrust wheels, also giving it a nice but subtle rake. The outside is otherwise pretty much original, as is the interior in typical Gas Monkey fashion. The inside has been cleaned up with a new rubber floor mat and seat cover, and a modern stereo has been added and everything else functions as new.

The drivetrain consists of a rebuilt 302 with a handful of go-fast parts – including an Edelbrock carb and intake, HEI electronic ignition, and dual exhaust with headers. The lump has been dressed up with a Mustang dual snorkel air cleaner and some fresh paint.

Reliability is the key theme here, as everything has been gone through and repaired or replaced – from brake components to gaskets to wires and hoses. It’s a winning theme for anyone looking to buy a shop truck or just a great cruiser. Or if you’re just a fan of Richard and the gang, now you can literally “Get you some of that!”
