Galpin’s ‘Ranger X’ Gives Popular Ford Truck an Added Edge
Custom truck combines massive suspension upgrades with aggressive exterior finish, and it will set owners back around $14K.
Auto retailer Galpin Motors, the brand behind the famous custom shop Galpin Auto Sports, has announced the availability of a “Galpinized” Ford Ranger dubbed the “Ranger X.” The truck “combines massive suspension upgrades with an aggressive exterior finish, all while retaining a dealer warranty,” says Galpin.
Ford’s 2019 Ranger is, of course, already an outstanding truck, and the team at Galpin Auto Sports has expanded on the platform by providing a beefed-up suspension designed to handle anything, directly from the dealership. The first thing that stands out on the Ranger X is the increased ride height, thanks to a Pro Comp Leveling Kit and custom 17-inch wheels with upgraded 285/70/17 Pro Comp A/T Tires, for extreme off-roading.
For a rugged exterior that compliments the off-road capabilities of the Ranger X, Galpin added a number of upgrades. Each truck features a slick Ranger Raptor front grill and Ford Accessories Fender Flares. Additionally, Addictive Desert Designs front and rear bumpers, chosen for their durability, further enhance the styling of the purpose-built Raptor X. A state-of-the-art Ridged Industries light bar and custom vinyl graphics complete the dynamic look.
“The Ford Ranger is a legendary truck and with its reintroduction to the U.S. market last year we thought that this was the perfect time to do something special,” said Beau Boeckmann, President of Galpin Motors. “Our team at Galpin Auto Sports took an already great truck and enhanced its capabilities to provide customers with additional off-road readiness.”
Customers can expand upon the base Ranger X to include everything from braking upgrades to custom interior touches such as enhanced stereo systems or bespoke upholstery. Interested Ranger X buyers can purchase one directly from Galpin Ford or bring in their previously purchased Ford Ranger for the conversion.
The Ranger X conversion package starts at $13,950 (not including the Ford Ranger , of course) and is now available upon special order.
