Ford’s Latest Super Duty Video Highlights the Truck’s Latest Smart Features
Big trucks are big. While that statement seems quite obvious, if you’ve ever driven a heavy duty pickup truck — especially for the first time — you’ll realize just how big those trucks can be. Technology helps make the truck seem smaller, and that technology is part of the new smart features on the 2017 Ford Super Duty.

The 2017 Super Duty has up to 7 cameras available. Six of them are ones that can actually be viewed by the operator, and cover the whole gambit of viewing. A 360° camera system makes it easier to maneuver in tight places. The CHMSL camera has a zoom function to make it easier to attach a 5th-wheel trailer or gooseneck. The front 180° camera helps with pulling out of blind junctions.
Adaptive steering makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces. Blind spot monitoring covers both the pickup truck and the attached trailer. Heck, there’s even technology on board to let you know you’re about to jackknife the trailer before it happens.
LED headlights are brighter, more durable, and should last an insanely long time. LED spotlight mirrors, like the ones we love on the F-150, light up the job site. It’s all there.
Sure, big trucks are big. But with some of the technology employed in the 2017 Super Duty, it’ll be one of the easiest trucks to maneuver at the job site, and will help make you and your team more productive. That’s the point of an innovative work truck.
