Ford’s Going to Open 200 Flagship FordStores in Europe This Year
By the end of this year, the Blue Oval will have opened its first 200 flagship FordStores in Europe. The total number of FordStores on the continent should grow to 500 by the end of 2016.
The primarily metropolitan dealerships will showcase the new Mustang, performance vehicles such as the Fiesta ST and Focus RS and ST, as well as SUVs and commercial offerings. Similar vehicles will be grouped together in showrooms, which will also feature the new Vignale Lounge, a place for customers of “Ford’s new upscale product and personalized ownership experience” (think Lincoln Black Label). A Ford Vignale relationship manager will be on-site to assist Vignale customers. Transit and business clients will be accommodated in a separate part of each FordStore.
The facilities will be divided into different zones with their own special names. The reception area will be known as the “hello” zone and be decorated with “ask ne” signs. The “care” zone will handle service requests. In the “discover” zone, customers will be able to configure the Ford model of their choice and see it full-size on a 3D video wall. They’ll also be able to learn more about Ford models on tablet computers, in brochures, and by looking at and touching samples.
