2017 Continental Sedan Leaked Early!
Well, Ford did a pretty good job of keeping the production version of the new Continental sedan hidden from the world, but we all knew it couldn’t last forever. As is usually the way with these things, the closer we get to launch, the more leaks and details we get.
The new Continental is getting revealed next week at Detroit, but now thanks to some wonderful forum posters, we have a good look at the production car already. The photo is a bit grainy, as you can see, but it gets the vision across.
It looks strikingly similar to the concept, which is a huge relief to Lincoln fans the world over. That same squared shaped, tight grille design, and large wheels are present and accounted for. Sadly the amazing looking LED headlights seem to have been replaced with modified units from the Taurus, but I’m hoping that is just a cheaper model, or the detail got lost in the pixelated mess.
The most notable change from concept to reality is the larger and less sophisticated lower bumper that adds more venting; I assume to cool the rumored V6 turbo that is rumored to be tucked under the hood.
As always, we plan on keeping our eyes open for even more photos and information about this new luxury-barge from Lincoln, so keep it locked here to catch all the news as we get it, and expect lots of new photos straight from the show floor next week when we are in Detroit!
