Ford’s Hits (and One Big Miss) from NAIAS 2018

Mach 1

Mach 1

Toward the end of the main press event at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford showed a logo for an electrified Mach 1. But not an electrified Mustang Mach 1, mind you. Rather, they said it is to be a performance utility vehicle. Confused? Me, too. Fortunately, this was Ford’s only big miss at what was otherwise a couple days of hit after hit. However, following immediate feedback from the media and Ford enthusiasts everywhere, ultimately Ford stated that they’re open to feedback and haven’t officially settled on the Mach 1 name for the proposed vehicle.

The next big auto show is inĀ Chicago, happening Feb. 10-19. I can’t wait to see what the Blue Oval has in store!
