So what are you doing this weekend? Hanging out with the boys, watching sports on TV, maybe grilling a few steaks? Well, whatever it is, it probably won’t surpass what Jan Baker did.

When Mr. Baker grew bored of all his Ford toys, he decided to create something completely different and one-of-a-kind, like a Ford V12 engine. Yes, the only Ford V12 engine that we know of wasn’t engineered at the Dearborn Ford headquarters or even at the special vehicles center in Belgium, it was built in a dude’s garage.

It sounds crazy, which it kind of is, but in reality it’s not that complicated. On this video by The Horsepower Monster, Mr. Baker explains how he got the idea to build this monster of an engine, and how he “simply” put two Ford 302 6 cylinder blocks together and the rest was making sure they ran as one. Oh, so that’s it?

Enjoy the video, and if you need me, I’ll be working on a creation of my own—with Legos.
