‘Screaming Eagle’ Super Duty Makes America Great Again
Ford and Harley-Davidson Lovers Can Can Once Again Knock Out Two Birds with One Stone
Few brands represent the ‘ol red, white and blue like Ford and Harley-Davidson. Maybe McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, but they don’t offer any products to get pumped up about. Perhaps that’s why this 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty Screaming Eagle gets us pretty darn excited!
Now, before one of you know-it-alls points out that this isn’t an officially-licensed Harley-Davidson-edition truck, we know that. Perhaps that’s why it’s called the Screaming Eagle, and not the trademarked—Screamin’ Eagle. What a big difference an apostrophe makes, huh?
Ford hasn’t produced a Harley-Davidson-edition truck in a while, but plenty of tribute trucks are sold nationwide year after year. That’s the case of this bad boy, presented by Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas.
Originally custom-built by Waldoch Vehicles, this 2017 Ford F-350 Crew-Cab 4×4 is powered by the 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel engine. The Lariat trim adds niceties such as in-bed lighting, push-button start, tailgate step and auto headlamps and fog lights. The Harley feel makes itself present with the shadow black and screaming eagle-orange paint combination.
A sweet-looking side stripe travels all the way from the headlight to the taillights. Lastly, an awesome decal of a “screaming eagle” is added to one of the hood humps. One of the things we love the most about this entire package is its subtlety, despite the four-inch lift kit and the orange color. While this Super Duty is far from common, it doesn’t look tacky or over-the-top. Don’t you agree?
In case you’re wondering: If you want to roll around town showing off your love for Harley-Davidson and Ford, it’s going to set you back a whopping $86,710!
