Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico are warning Ford truck owners of an organized group of crooks that are following and targeting specific Ford Super Duty trucks. Just see the video below.

KRQE News 13 reports that the particular couple shown on this video arrived at a local Walmart to do some grocery shopping, when a black Audi pulled up next to the truck just a few minutes after the truck’s arrival. Albuquerque Police has reason to believe these crooks are actually following the trucks to the owner’s destination so they can then steal them.

Police reports that an estimated 12 to 18 Ford F-250s and F-350s are reported stolen every single week, and that the vehicles easy-to-break door latches and easy-to-rig ignitions are to blame. According to reports, Ford trucks from 1995 to 2005 are the most vulnerable.

If you live in the area, perhaps you can help identify someone from this video and warn the police. If not make sure to lock and secure your Ford truck the best you can.

Stay safe!
