TOTAL RECALL Ford Could Recall Quite a Few Trucks This Year
In 2013, Ford issued a recall for its biggest pickups and other automobiles that used those same chassis and drivetrains. Vehicles like ambulances and rescue trucks were cited to fix defective sensors.
The issue was that there were complaints of stalling problems with the trucks. While it was another recall, it was only limited to around 3000 vehicles, not the cluster screw up that was GM’s epic recall.
That however is set to change very soon.
According to the NHTSA, which cited complaints made on the organization’s website, they are looking into the problem once again. The organization stated that it could expand the initial recall Ford issued in 2013 to nearly 197,000 additional vehicles.
Right now, Ford is doing their own initial recall investigation to see if a full recall is necessary. But seeing how strongly both the government and the public reacted to all the issues with GM, it’s becoming very likely that Ford will issue a full recall.
Here’s a list of the potentially affected vehicles:
2011-2012 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 with the 6.7L V8 diesels.
Stay tuned for more details.
