Raptor vs Range Rover Tug of War: When Boredom Strikes
These two vehicles are extremely capable off-road but which one will win the standardized battle by which many are judged?
Despite being fans of the venerable tug ‘o war, we’re still not quite sure what all it proves. Sure, some may say it’s a display of strength, capacity, and overall pulling power. But, we believe that unless both vehicles are on equal surfaces and with identical tires, it doesn’t prove a darn thing.
That’s beside the point of course, because we at Ford Truck Enthusiasts always get a kick out of watching Ford trucks participate in a tug of war. We’ve seen them take on Chevy trucks, Rams, and even tractors! This time it’s something a little more upscale — a V8-powered Land Rover Range Rover. Although the white model shown here is about 10-years-old, a similar brand new model starts at $85,650.
On the other end of the strap, is a pickup truck we’re very familiar with: the first-gen Ford SVT Raptor. The quality of the video is too poor to see whether this Raptor is equipped with the 6.2-liter V8, but we’re not sure that it would matter anyway.
